Listview Controls
Overview
A listview control can be used to display lists of any size, as well as
columnar data.
Listview controls are neat for a number of reasons.
- Columns may be resized by dragging the border separating the column titles
- You can receive an event when the user presses a column title; this could
be used to change the content of the columns or to change the sort order of
the list, for example
- You can directly edit the data in column 1 by selecting it, pausing, and
then clicking it again
- You can specify complete formatting instructions for each column
individually, including all of the formatting options available to data in
an edit control; signs, masks, etc.
- Listview controls handle much of the overhead associated with navigating
through a large database, including caching to enhance performance
- A listview can display lists with up to 999.999.999 records
If you need to browse a huge file, listviews are for you!
