Selector Control Properties

The items are arranged in alphabetical order.

Item Significance
? Allows you to enter text that will be displayed in a ToolTip when the user pauses the mouse pointer over the control.
Appearance:

Flat

Gives a flat appearance to the control.
Appearance:

Flush appearance

Draws a border around that button that makes it appear to be flush with the surface of the panel.
Appearance:

Has a border

Draws a line around the entire control and label.
COBOL Field Name COBOL name of your control.  All of the fields in the panel copybook for this control will be prefaced with this name.
Field properties... Displays the field properties panel, where you define the properties of the data elements used in this control.
Position label horizontally:

Center

Label text will be centered.
Position label horizontally:

Left justify

Label text will be left-justified.
Position label horizontally:

Right justify

Label text will be right-justified.
Position label vertically:

Bottom

Label text will be positioned near the bottom of the control.
Position label vertically:

Center

Label text will be centered vertically.
Position label vertically:

Top

Label text will be positioned near the top of the control.
Runtime behavior:

Tab stops here

Allows the user to tab to this control.
Runtime behavior:

Invisible If Empty

If checked, empty selector controls will be hidden at run time.  Suitable for un-used menus or options.
VALUE clause:

Custom

Adds a VALUE clause containing the value you specify to the control definition in the panel copybook.
VALUE clause:

LOW-VALUE

Adds a VALUE LOW-VALUE clause to the control definition in the panel copybook.
VALUE clause:

SPACE

Adds a VALUE SPACE clause to the control definition in the panel copybook.
VALUE clause:

ZERO

Adds a VALUE ZERO clause to the control definition in the panel copybook.
