This panel is used to add, update, or delete a subnet from the table of subnets this server will serve.
The items appear in this table in alphabetical order.
Item | Significance |
Delete | Deletes the subnet or IP entry. |
IP/Subnet | IP address or subnet from which connections will be
accepted.
IPs are specified in a form consisting of four, three-digit numbers, with leading zeros suppressed in each segment. Each segment may range from 0 to 255. Example: 24.237.1.204 Subnets are partial IPs with an asterisk in the first portion of a the IP that designates the generic portion. For example, if you want to accept all addresses in the range 192.168.0.1 through 192.168.0.255, specify the subnet as: 192.168.0.* Your network administrator can help you with this. |
Registered user | If present, this will not alccept a user from any IP address or subnet other than the one specified. |
(unlabeled) | If this IP/Subnet is restricted to a specific user, the user's name is displayed. |
