Locale Settings

GUI ScreenIO automatically displays most locale-sensitive items according to the regional settings in the computer it's running on.  As a result, you don't need to be concerned with formatting your data for the current location correctly; GUI ScreenIO does it for you.

The Windows locale settings determine how to handle data elements that are specific to the computer's location.  You can review or change your settings by running the Windows Control Panel and selecting Regional Settings. 

For example a date value stored in your program as (century/year/month/day) 20000501 would be displayed:
