GUI ScreenIO for Windows

Using an Internet URL for Documentation

You can post your HTML files to a web server.

It is also possible to post an HTML Help document to a web server; see the documentation on our website to see how well it works.  It does take a bit of effort to get HTML Help working on a website, and we don't particularly recommend it.

Invoking Help

When the user presses the F1 key, GUI ScreenIO will launch the user's web browser and open the specified URL.  It will not currently attempt to position to a specific page.

Creating Internet-based Documentation

Create your documentation as a website.  Be sure to include links that will allow your user to navigate to all of the pages.

Having had experience with Internet-based documentation, we think it's better to compile your HTML into an HTML Help document, rather than to post it to a website on the Internet.
